Another uneventful weekend

I feel like its been forever since I’ve been on here and written anything and its only been days. Well since I haven’t been blogging and we just had a long weekend I must have been on some grand European adventure right?! I wish! Being in the 35th week of pregnancy has severely limited our options for fun on these long weekends we are so fortunate to have. I did however get to spend lots of time with my hubby, to include date day without Emma at a movie a little shopping and dinner out. It was nice to be able to make time for each other especially since a newborn will make that tough for a while. We did get a peek at our growing little girl on Friday! Wanna see?? Ok!

20130813-160641.jpg Our doctor is great, he took the time and was even excited to show us that she was opening and closing her mouth. He also told Drew that she looks just like him “oh she looks just like her father, nose in the middle of the face!” We couldn’t help but laugh (you have to imagine this being said by a native German speaker with quite the accent. So the big question lately, how am I feeling? Well, I feel like a whale who no matter what cannot get comfortable. It takes forever to fall asleep and I am rarely able to sleep past 530 AM. I have been having some new issues this pregnancy with my left outer thigh going completely numb if I spend too much time on my feet and lots of hip and pelvic pain in general which I didn’t feel with Emma. I often wonder if this is as a result of two pregnancies so close together.
This weekend we also explored a local store, Globus, which is often compared to Walmart by Americans. The store had many interesting things and quite the selection from groceries to shoes and toys and even bath towels and linens. I don’t personally think it had quite as many different things as a Walmart would but it was still interesting to see all the different things. Now that I’m actually writing to you all I wish I had taken some pictures of things that are different here. One thing that Globus had that is not something common for the area was a changing station in the diaper isle stocked with wipes, sprays, creams and pampers diapers for customer use. Next time I will take pictures, I promise!!

We didn’t use a stroller yet Emma listened and stayed with us for the most part, when she saw something that interested her on a shelf she could reach she would take it down, put the package on the floor where she would then inspect the toy then return the toy to the shelf where she found it and move on to something else. It was a very interesting site to see. I wonder how long it will take before we go in there one day and she finds something she wants and points at it and frantically signs (or maybe by then says) “please” because she wants it!
